What are Naseeha Sessions?
At Sanad Trust Foundation we want to provide a safe place where you can be heard. All of our efforts are complementary to one another and work hand in hand. Sanad Prep, the Guardians, and our newly launched Naseeha Sessions – are just a few of the programs that work together to help us encompass our vision and fulfill our organizational mission.
Naseeha Sessions are listening sessions intended to strengthen the base of the community – the family. And will provide emotional and spiritual support service
Naseeha is the Arabic word for advice or recommendation and sincerity and is looked upon positively in our Islamic teachings.
Naseeha Sessions are a service based on the Prophetic words that, “The Islamic faith is [based on] sincere concern.” (Muslim)
Goals
- To facilitate communication in order to assist in resolving concerns, conflict, or conduct.
- To help re-establish healthy relationships within families.
- To encourage and provide benefit to their spiritual and emotional well-being.
- To assist in spiritual, personal, and professional development.
How It Works
1. Intake Form
When considering Naseeha sessions, the first step is to fill out our 2-minute intake form found at the bottom of the page. The intake form is completely confidential. The intake form helps us understand what your needs are.
2. Initial Conversation
After completing the intake form, we will follow-up with an initial phone conversation (within 48hrs) in order to ensure we understand the concern. We also use this as an opportunity to be honest about our ability and limitations.
3. In-person Sessions
These fee-based sessions are an opportunity for your family and Sanad to listen and reflect, and to better understand one another. They are based on the Prophetic character of showing sincere concern for all. Typically a minimum of four sessions is recommended. They last approximately 45-60 mins.
Fees & Session Schedule
$60 per session, no one will be turned away due to lack of funds and payment plans are available. Naseeha Sessions are available to be scheduled up to 2 times a month either on a Friday afternoon or a Saturday morning.
Disclaimer
Naseeha Sessions are not a substitute for clinical therapeutic care, rather a first step to addressing the emotional needs of an individual, child, couple or family. We request if a child is under 18 that their parent or guardian be present at the center with them.
